Interesting question.
There is an endpoint to fetch configurations.

What is the use-case for the other actions?
How/why would you dynamically manage them?

I am building a custom exporter. It takes timesheet lines from kimal to tripletex, norwegian accouning software.

We want some custom_fields in kimai tripletex_prododuct_number on a user and on activety. User also has tripletex_short_name. Timesheet has tripletex_order_number and tripletex_order_exported_at. On the kimai setup page in my app I want to make it easy to setup kimai. Now I can shot which custom fields are missing which is a good thing. It would have been nice to have a button to create the fields too.

What do you mean by that?
The plugin https://www.kimai.org/en/store/custom-fields-bundle.html gives you full CRUD functionality (not via API though).

I my app. I would have liked to have a button to create the new custom field. My app would have required to use the API

Will you offer that for sales? Sounds like it could be used as a general solution for Norway.

We could make it available for other. For now I would like to keep it internal since we need to figure out exactly how it should work for us. I think we different users will have different demands?

Can you say anything about how many Kimai has in Norway?
