Severe Input Bug in Web App Title Field (Since v3.4, Still Unresolved in v3.5) #6

Description

@Reid-Vin

Hi team,

I’d like to report a critical and persistent issue with the Joplin web app that has significantly affected my user experience.

Problem Description
When creating a new note via the web interface, the title input field behaves erratically:

Characters randomly disappear or auto-complete before I finish typing.

English input may result in duplicated letters.

Input in other languages (e.g., Chinese) is frequently interrupted, with characters being replaced by random English letters or symbols.

It feels as if someone is "fighting" me for control of the keyboard — the experience is chaotic and extremely frustrating.

This issue has been present since version 3.4 and remains unresolved in the latest 3.5 release.

Reproduction
Open the Joplin web app (self-hosted or official).

Create a new note.

Attempt to type in the title field using English and/or other languages.

Observe erratic input behavior.

Environment
Browsers tested: Chrome, Firefox, Edge

Operating systems tested: Windows, macOS, Linux

Joplin Web versions: 3.4.x, 3.5.x

Reproducibility: 100% — occurs consistently across different machines and environments.

Why This Matters
The web interface is essential for my workflow, as I primarily use a browser-based environment for both work and personal tasks. The ability to edit notes without launching the desktop app is a major advantage. However, this input bug makes the web version nearly unusable for creating new notes.

Request
Please prioritize investigating and resolving this issue. I’m happy to provide screen recordings or assist with further debugging if needed.

Thank you for your hard work on Joplin — it’s a fantastic tool, and I hope this issue can be addressed soon.

Just like the final input result shown in the screenshot below — whereas the original text I intended to type was: “输入测试abcdefg这是一段中文”.
