Some NEF and all DNG files are not recognized as valid media files

I have several RAW files that aren't being recognized as valid media files.
The NEF files are from Nikon Zf and the DNG are from Leica M11-D. I have NEF files from a Nikon D850 that were processed without issues. I do not have DNG from other cameras so I am not sure if all DNG or only some DNGs are affected.

github isn't allowing me to upload the sample files here so I put them in a google drive folder.

I created new folders and copies of the files and ran them through to capture the output. In the live output it states not valid media file but in the summary it says skipped as duplicate.
debug output:
