In addition to air purifiers, Winix also sells dehumidifiers and window-type air conditioners. I own a dehumidifier, and in Korea — where Winix is a domestic brand — their dehumidifiers are actually the most well-known product.
Anyway, I've analyzed the dehumidifier's packets and verified them via CLI (hfern/winix@master...1saac-k:winixctl:dev), and I'd like to integrate this as a HASS component.
Actually, there is someone who independently reverse-engineered the dehumidifier and forked your repository to create a HASS component dedicated to dehumidifiers (https://github.com/kjy8850/winix). However, I think it would be better to create a single component that supports all Winix products rather than having separate components for each product type.
If I were to submit a PR later, would you be open to merging it? Or would you prefer to keep the scope limited to air purifier functionality only? Feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks for the great project.
