Is there a bug with rename via paste?

If I want to rename any folder or file in nemo (cinnamon file manager) I can't succeed via paste any item from CopyQ.
I found out (as a workaround) that I can do the renaming via paste after quitting CopyQ.
My question:
Is this known or a known bug?
If not, should I delete all config files of the app and re-install it?

Where do you paste to? Sometimes a given text field may lose focus after activating CopyQ and not gain it back correctly when CopyQ is closed.

Yes, losing focus might be the issue. As I wrote I paste it into the name field in nemo.

1. I highlight the file or folder
2. I press F2 for renaming it.
3. No chance to paste in from CopyQ.
4. I quit CopyQ.
5. Paste in the copied item succeeds.

There may not be a way around this lost-focus issue unless you use custom commands that do not require activating another window.

I use global shortcut to cycle over recent items (here is how to add the command to CopyQ):

Thank you. Here are my steps:
First, I saved the desired new name in CopyQ.
Then I started the renaming process with F2. The old name ("Untitled Folder") is highlighted.

Ctrl+V does not insert the new name, but the old one.
Even the GlobalShortcut=meta+shift+p only restores the old name.

Oh, this is caused by the mouse selection synchronization to clipboard. Even though the text is selected automatically - you do not select it with the mouse yourself - some apps put it into the primary selection buffer anyway. It is pretty annoying.

As workaround, you can disable "(4) Paste mouse selection with keyboard" option in Preferences in CopyQ.

However, with Strg+V the desired item isn't inserted but a strange code:
