just to mention : some mastodon instances do not provide the same set of permissions (depending on the version ?).
For instance your process is ok with mastodon.social but it's not with aipub.social because the "profile" permission is not present on aipub.social, and therefore the request is not correct.
Just so you know :)
EDIT : same question : would it be achievable to add more flexibility / options to the mastodon case ?
Otherwise, I have a selfhosted postiz installed through helm chart on k3s and I'm quite happy with it.
EDIT2: same question with pixelfed.social, which is a customised mastodon instance made to provide instagram like services. 🙏
