Cannot close directory listing buffer

Hello, sorry if this is a duplicate, I had trouble describing it.

If I open a directory in MBE I get a listing, but it can't be closed (:MBEbd) and does some weird things such as preventing tabbing through buffers (:MBEbn and MBEbp).

I'm on OSX Sierra. This happens in both MacVim 8.0.3 and terminal Vim 7.3. List of other plugins:
