Local build script fails

Digging a bit the downloaded seed image des not have that name, it is now called seed-image.zip

Can it be that there was an issue with the internet or the download was somehow corrupted?

I don't see how that can be... it was simply the script on the downloads page... this is what I found at the bottom of the non-rust rabbit hole.

The error messages mentions a direct cause: No such file or directory: "/Users/keith/code/GT/glamoroustoolkit/GlamorousToolkitApp-v1.1.68.zip".

Can you have luck to see if GlamorousToolkitApp-v1.1.68.zip exists under /Users/keith/code/GT/glamoroustoolkit/? If it does and you can manually unzip this zip archive from Finder, I guess we could step further.

It is failing because the file is missing, the file is missing because it did not download.

I have shared all of the relevant (I think) logs, there is no report any attempt to download, no indication of a url that I could try, no indication of the failure to download. (dare I say that this seems rather non-moldable)

Looking into the possibility of providing the file somehow, the process seems to lack idempotency, it refuses to do anything if the directory already exists. This seems to indicate that sneaking the zip file in, will not work either.

It feels to me like we are entirely in the hands of the writer/maintainer of gt-installer.

I am asking mynew pal MiniMax-M3 to write me a bash version gt-installer see if that may help shed some light upon it.

From this I see that the url is downloading the vm, and the vmversion numbers are different to the image releases, 1.1.68 is the latest build and Intel is not being built at the moment which is the entire reason I was attempting to build manually. So if I hack things to use vm 1.1.67 it might work.

We no longer have machines to build for Mac Intel. We are looking into producing an Intel build from an Apple Silicon machine, but it can take a while. In the meantime, you can use the old https://github.com/feenkcom/gtoolkit-vm/releases/download/v1.1.67/GlamorousToolkit-x86_64-apple-darwin.app.zip VM with newer images.
