Strange Fingerprint Issue

Hi, first of all, huge thanks for the builds.

The issue is that if the phone shuts off itself due to 0% battery. Upon powering ON after a recharge, the fingerprint stops working.
It still shows the 2 registered fingerprints in the settings app but I can't add anymore or delete any previous ones. Restarting doesn't help. It happened last month then i reinstalled the build from scratch and lost all data.

Just saw a new build, is it fixed? Also I don't have any experience with updating the builds. How can i update to the newer build without losing any data? Updater section in the settings doesn't show the newer build.

To Reproduce

1. Drain the battery down to 0%
2. When you restart the phone after a recharge, the fingerprint stops working.
3. Upon a fresh reinstalling of the build, the fingerprint starts to work again.

Funny that the phone just restarted on it's own as soon as posted this issue and the fingerprint sensor has started working. ;)
It didn't happen last time but good for now.

However still would like to know how to update though!

Can't replicate. Can you get some logs for me? Just a general logcat will suffice

Not sure how to get the log file.
However i would have tried to replicate but apparently it is not happening again. The phone died again today as i forgot to charge it and when i restarted it after a quick charge, the fingerprint was working fine.
Maybe its Random, not sure.

However I'll look forward to the update.

*Update: A few days back, the phone died on it's own due to low battery and since then the fingerprint sensor has stopped working again.

Similar bug , fingerprint reader stops functioning randomly a few minutes or hours or never after reboot. cannot unlock screen using fingerprint or unlock any application/setting that requires fingerprint. Fingerprint reading functionality starts working after a reboot. Happens once every few reboots.

This issue also happens on a galaxy S7 running 19 too. Interesting
