Describe the bug

If "Bedtime mode" is turned ON, and the phone reboots. The Screen turns off before the user can enter PIN/Password/Pattern. The screen cannot be turned on , even though the phone has booted up waiting for user to enter PIN/Password/Pattern.

The user will be unable to enter the PIN/Password/Pattern till the screen turns on, which happens after "Bedtime mode" is turned OFF.

To Reproduce

  1. Enable PIN/Password/Pattern at login Settings > Security
  2. Go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Control > Bedtime mode > "USE A SCHEDULE" > Set start time as your current time and End time 10 minutes from your current time. E.g. Start 21:00 - End 21:10. ⚠️ use a schedule , other wise you will not be able to log back in to the device till bedtime mode turns off.
  3. Go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Control > Bedtime mode > Screen options at bedtime > Enable Grayscale & Dim the wallpaper (tested with all combinations, of Dim the wallpaper ON & OFF, the culprit seems to be Grayscale ON )
  4. When Bedtime mode starts ( Screen will be grayscale ) Reboot.
  5. After reboot, ( the end of lineage on boot animation ) screen will be visible for approximately ~3 seconds, if you are unable to enter PIN/Password/Pattern during this period, the screen will turn off
  6. Screen cannot be turned back on by
    - Tapping screen
    - Pressing power button
    - Tapping any physical buttons on the front of the phone
  7. This state will persist till the Bedtime Mode Schedule set in step 2 is over, in this case at 21:11 tapping the screen will turn it on 🤷‍♂️
