Hi! I put together a logo proposal for Neomacs and wanted to share it here.

Design concept

• Rewriting Emacs in Rust is a huge and ambitious challenge, so the logo combines Rust’s gear‑shaped outline with the core Emacs mark. Even for people who haven’t used the project yet, the visual should hint at its technical identity.
• The color theme keeps the purple tone from the original logo to maintain familiarity.
• For the wordmark, I used Ubuntu Mono to give it a clean and readable feel.

Additional notes

• The logo is completely free to use and can be included under the project’s license.
• If you’d like to adopt it, I’m happy to provide the SVG source file.
• Feedback and suggestions are very welcome—I’d be glad to refine or adjust anything.
• And of course, no pressure at all to use it. Please feel free to pass if it doesn’t match your vision.
