Feature request: generate perfdata from checked values with datatype string

Hello!

We use the check to monitor thousands of health endpoints. Those endpoints usually flap between the states 'up' and 'down'.

For this scenario we need to generate perfdata, because our teams want metrics. Currently the check only generates perdata from integers.

A way to transform matched values into int whould be helpful.

When I use the argument -m "status", perfdata is generated:

What do you think about an additional parameter, accepting tuples, for individual mapping.
Something like '("UP",1),("Down",0)'

Hi, the -m perfdata makes it possible to append the data from JSON to the performance data output as you described. However, it currently doesn't validate the data. As you can see, if there's a string in the VALUE (like the "UP") it will just print it.

It then depends on the monitoring tool what happens next. Most likely it will ignore the value, since it's not a valid performance data point.

Some sort of mapping the non numeric values to numeric values could be an idea yes. I'll think about it and see what we can do
