welcome to 1Only Manager!
Developer: Salman SK (salman-sk.in)
1Only Manager is a powerful management tool designed for RHEL-based systems, including servers. This tool automates a wide range of server administration tasks, such as mail queue management, performance optimization, automatic crash detection and repair, and various audits and security reporting.
We prioritize your privacy. The only data collected is your license information, which is essential for the tool’s operation.
To ensure the tool functions optimally, the following packages are required:
wget: For downloading files from the web.
cpanel (optional): If you're using cPanel, the tool can integrate with it for enhanced functionality.
gpg: For secure encryption and verification of files.
Other necessary packages are automatically installed during `setup_step1`.
Step 2: Configuration Details
In this step, you will configure essential aspects of the tool. This includes entering your license information, configuring features for automation, and providing key details for secure operations.
License Information:
You will first be prompted to enter your license information. This is crucial because it validates your access to the tool's features and ensures that you are using a legitimate copy of the software. Without this information, the tool cannot function properly.
Feature Configuration and Cron Jobs:
Next, you will be asked to decide whether to add each feature to the cron job.
Cron is a time-based job scheduler in Unix-like operating systems. It allows you to automate tasks by scheduling them to run at specific times or intervals. By adding features to cron, you can automate their execution without manual intervention.
Automating tasks with cron ensures that routine maintenance, monitoring, and optimization tasks are performed regularly and consistently, reducing the risk of human error and freeing up your time for other important tasks.
If you choose not to add a feature to cron, you'll need to perform those tasks manually. While this gives you more control, it also means you’ll need to remember to run these tasks regularly, which could be less efficient.
Final Configuration: Key Details
In the final step, the setup will ask you to provide several important details:
1.
Host Email:
This email address is used for administrative alerts and notifications. It ensures that you are promptly informed about important events, such as system errors, security alerts, or completed tasks.
2.
Admin Password:
The admin password is required to authenticate certain operations that need elevated privileges. It ensures that only authorized users can perform critical actions, enhancing the security of your system.
3.
Root Password:
The root password is necessary for tasks that require root-level access. This includes operations such as system updates, configuration changes, and the installation of critical security patches.
Note: The root password is stored locally on your system and is not transmitted to any external servers. This is important for maintaining the security and integrity of your system.
Important Considerations:
Local Storage of Credentials:
All passwords and credentials are stored locally on your system. No remote storage or transmission occurs, ensuring that your sensitive information remains secure and private.
Let’s proceed with the configuration to get your 1Only Manager fully operational.
