Can someone please update this for Catalina?

Catalina changes the game a little bit compared to previous versions. Especially Catalina 10.15.1 seems to break things i.e. sound etc.

Audio setup should be the same.

I do need to add information about setting up a fake EC and update info on legacy RTC devices though. I have not had time lately to work on this though.

what are the changes for legacy RTC devices?

i really got confused trying for a whole day missing this fake EC for catalina.
some link to another guide or a mention should not be a big deal.
