pnpm update problem

使用‘pnpm -g update’的时候提示有新版本，但是只能通过指定版本号(pnpm add -g deepseek-tui@0.8.38)更新，而且remove之后清除缓存重新add也只会安装0.8.37版本的，npm没有问题，想问怎么解决

When using pnpm -g update, it prompts that a new version is available, but I can only update by specifying the version number (e.g., pnpm add -g deepseek-tui@0.8.38). Moreover, after removing package and clearing the cache, reinstalling still only gets version 0.8.37. npm works fine. How can I solve this?

fwiw, I can reproduce the plain update part, but not the --latest part now.

In a clean temp PNPM_HOME, I installed deepseek-tui@0.8.37 and ran pnpm -g update deepseek-tui. It stayed on 0.8.37 while pnpm still printed that 0.8.39 is available.

But pnpm -g update --latest deepseek-tui moved it to 0.8.39 for me, and a fresh pnpm add -g deepseek-tui@latest also installed 0.8.39. I checked this more than once with a temp global dir/store and --ignore-scripts.

So I'd try:

pnpm -g update --latest deepseek-tui
# or
pnpm remove -g deepseek-tui
pnpm add -g deepseek-tui@latest

If that still lands on 0.8.37, check whether pnpm is reading a different registry/cache config:

pnpm config get registry
pnpm config list

npm and pnpm both see latest as 0.8.39 rn, so if your machine still gets 0.8.37, it looks more like local pnpm config/cache/registry state than a bad npm dist-tag.

In fact at that time, I've also check the latest version from registry
The npm registry metadata appears correct:

pnpm view deepseek-tui versions

Includes:

0.8.38

And:

pnpm view deepseek-tui dist-tags

Returns:

{
  "latest": "0.8.38"
}

Also:

pnpm view deepseek-tui@latest version

Returns:

0.8.38

But things seem normal now, it can update to latest version.
