Size limit of Action and ActionResult

How can client tell size limit of Action and ActionResult message?

Is cache_capabilities.max_cas_blob_size_bytes used for them too?

Action messages are stored in the CAS, so CacheCapabilities.max_cas_blob_size_bytes (if specified) applies.

ActionResult messages are stored in the ActionCache. There are no streaming APIs for the ActionCache, so the limiting factor here is the upper size limit for an individual serialized ActionResult protobuf message. There is currently no perfect way to find this limit, but some implementations use CacheCapabilities.max_batch_total_size_bytes to represent the upper size limit for a protobuf message.
