Issue I'm Facing
Everything works perfectly in local development using Docker Compose. However, when deploying with Kamal, I need to reference the API container using a static alias like "api-1" instead of Kamal's dynamically generated endpoint names (api1-web-hash), which change every deployment.
I tried defining a container name or alias without success in kamal. AI is also of no help as it tends to pick up docker yml syntax that is not valid in kamal.
Question: How can I create a static alias for my container in Kamal v2.0 so that it remains consistent across deployments and can be used in code?
I need the same DNS name across both Docker Compose (local dev) and Kamal (production), since the YARP reverse proxy must connect reliably without worrying about changing values.

Hi Guys,
I'm using a YARP reverse proxy (in .NET) with Kamal for deployment.
How My Deployment Works
Each project is deployed separately using these commands:
kamal deploy -c config/deploy-api1.yml
kamal deploy -c config/deploy-api2.yml
kamal deploy -c config/deploy-yarp.yml (reverse proxy)
YARP Configuration
In my YARP setup, I use this configuration to check for the endpoint at "http://api-1:80":
Kamal Deployment File
For Api1, my kamal.deploy file looks like this:
