SJR fails in IE if provided URL gives 404

When you start SJR with IE and you either

• pass an invalid URL, or
• don't pass any URL and localhost:7777 which is the default, is not up
  then SJR usually fails and quits after the calibration step, but without any informative error message.

We should either try to log informative message or try to work around the issue.

This happens only with IE.
