Environment:
- macOS version: 26.4 (Build 25E246)
- yabai version: v7.1.17
Issue:
yabai -m space --display next silently fails when the target space is currently focused/visible. The command returns no error but the space doesn't move.
This also appears to be a macOS-level limitation, dragging the active space to another display via Mission Control no longer works either. Only inactive/unfocused spaces can be moved between displays.
Steps to reproduce:
- Focus a space on display 1
- Run yabai -m space --display 2
- Space stays on display 1
Expected: Active space moves to display 2
Actual: Nothing happens, no error returned
Is this a known macOS Tahoe limitation, or a yabai bug?
