Description

@SamimNaser

Hi I am Samim 👋,

First of all, thank you for maintaining this project. The profile view counter is widely used and very helpful.

I wanted to request a small but useful enhancement regarding badge styling.

Problem

Currently, the badge color options are limited to preset colors. This makes it difficult to visually match the badge with my monochrome or dark-themed GitHub profile setup, especially when using:

  • style=for-the-badge
  • Black & white tech stack badges (commonly from shields.io)

At the moment, there is no true black, white, or monochrome option.

Requested Feature

Support for:

  • color=black
  • color=white
  • or a generic color=monochrome / theme=dark

This would allow the badge to blend seamlessly with modern GitHub profile designs.

Example Use Case

I use badges like this in my profile:

<img src="https://img.shields.io/badge/java-%23ED8B00.svg?style=for-the-badge&logo=openjdk&logoColor=white&color=black"/>
