Third-party components and why this project is GPL-3.0-or-later

RED is built on GPUI (via the in-house Flint component library), the UI
framework from the Zed project (https://github.com/zed-industries/zed). GPUI's
dependency tree pulls in utility crates from the Zed monorepo licensed
GPL-3.0-or-later (zlog, ztracing, ztracing_macro), which are linked into the RED
binary. The combined work is therefore GPL-3.0-or-later; RED's own source is
GPL-3.0-or-later to match. Apache-2.0 is one-way compatible into GPLv3, so the
Apache-2.0 components are included under the terms of the combined work.

Vendored fonts under assets/fonts/ (IBM Plex Sans, JetBrains Mono) are licensed
under the SIL Open Font License — see the LICENSE-*.txt files alongside them.
