2D elements scaling issue in Sky Children of The Light #2203

Description

@kahnakha

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Are you using any gamescope patches or a forked version of gamescope?

  • The issue occurs on upstream gamescope without any modifications

Current Behavior

There is an issue with a gamescope session of this particular game, and the issue is observed when there is an external monitor/tv connected to the system, and then the game is launched from Gaming Mode(gamescope).

All ingame 2D elements are either too small, or too big, it’s all over the place as none of those 2D HUD elements seem to follow the same logic… Some are way too small, while others are way too big.

The issue is not observed when launching the game from the desktop and without gamescope.
All 2D elements are properly scaled.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Launch the game from Gaming Mode using gamescope on an external tv/monitor.
  2. Right at the start, notice the thickness of the loading bar(other ingame elements are also affected, but that’s just the easiest and fastest way).
  3. Exit the game, and exit to desktop.
  4. Start the game in desktop mode without gamescope, and notice the difference of the loading bar thickness.
