Ability to view song titles and artists better

For Media plug-in I was just thinking that the info button is great with the thumbnail of the song playing, but what if the whole Page Background could be the song thumbnail and info - that would be a lot easier to see.

But otherwise even for media plug-in that text probably needs to scroll as otherwise it is cut off and can't be read. Adding some form of text scrolling to the info button would be really useful.

I'm going to implement scrolling text as an app feature in the next weeks. Adding an option to change the page background is a great idea. The only problem might be that some players might set a very low res image as the thumbnail which won't look very appealing if displayed on the whole deck. I think I'm also gonna add a way to allow users to combine 4 or 9 info actions into one 2x2 or 3x3 thumbnail.

OK great thanks. It may be worth just having a look at the thumbnail as a page background (vs a button) or having it as an option as you suggested. At this rate this app may start pulling ahead of some of what the Elgato app offers ;-) I'm already finding that the auto page switch means I don't need a button setup for many pages, as they just switch when needed automatically.

I'm going to piggy-back on this issue because I was confused that media info is not displayed fully. In the code I saw that when settings labels you use self.shorten_label(label, 10) which should not be neccessary anymore with scrolling text - or it could at least be optional.
