Migrate the whole mod to 26.1 - Plan and explanation #9

Description

@XIAYM-gh

What, and why

26.1 has been released two days ago, which removed obfuscation and killed yarn mapping (which this mod highly depends on). Therefore, a thorough rewriting is required.

Words ahead

Due to very limited time (as was mentioned in #8 (comment)), the migration process will be delayed for approximately 3 months. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Current Plan

In the next few weeks, I will release a new version for 1.20.x-1.21.x, majorly rewriting the IMBlocker for logical simplicity and correctness, and improving mod compatibility. (Finished)

Future Plan

  • Rewrite and migrate the whole mod to 26.1 (Fabric only)
  • Complete ModProxime as an infrastructure, and add NeoForge support
  • Or alternaticely, implement a simple multiloader support
  • LOW PRIORITY: Do backports for older versions (for Forge/Neoforge support)

Related Issue

#4 - NeoForge support will be added after migration, and hopefully some backports.
