I would like to dual screen support that has came with the latest melon ds nightly

Going more in-depth with the asked question: Is it possible to add Second/External Display Support in the MelonDS DS libretro core or is that impossible unless the Android version of RetroArch updates to support multiple displays on Android? I personally imagine it is not possible to implement in MelonDS DS unless RetroArch gets an update to support multiple screens at once but I'm no developer.

A feature like this would be useful and intended for 2-screen Android handhelds such as the AYN Thor, Ayaneo Pocket DS, Onesuger Sugar-1, and Anbernic RG DS (although the RG DS definitely doesn't have the chipset power to run DS games in RetroArch's NDS cores that well), as well as Retroid's Dual Screen add-on for Android handhelds.

This would be nice, but the problem is that the libretro API simply doesn't support this.

RetroArch's graphics pipeline was designed and implemented before DS emulation was good, and before it became fashionable to use a second screen for retro game overlays. So all the graphics drivers would need to be refactored to support using a second screen (where possible).

If that is ever done, actually integrating it into the core would likely be straightforward. But until then, I don't see this happening. Consequently, I will close this issue.
