Pinch to zoom doesn't work on laptop

I am currently using figma-linux on fedora 44 and kde plasma 6.7. i am facing an issue where the touchpad pinch to zoom gesture doesn't work. Can it be fixed or is it some elctron issue?

Thanks for reporting this. Based on the current launcher code, on a Wayland session this build intentionally starts Electron through XWayland by default for compatibility:

--ozone-platform=x11

That is the most likely reason touchpad pinch-to-zoom is not reaching Figma. Native Linux touchpad pinch gestures generally need the app to run as a native Wayland/Ozone app, while XWayland often only passes normal pointer/scroll input.

Please try launching it once with native Wayland enabled:

FIGMA_USE_WAYLAND=1 figma-desktop

For the AppImage, use:

FIGMA_USE_WAYLAND=1 ./figma-desktop-*.AppImage

If pinch works with that flag, then this is fixable on our side by improving the default/desktop launcher behavior or documenting a KDE/Fedora Wayland option. If it still does not work in native Wayland mode, it is more likely an Electron/Chromium/Figma-client limitation rather than a simple packaging bug.

As a workaround, Figma zoom via keyboard/scroll shortcuts should still work.
