Edit Metadata: should always pre-populate the latest metadata #1024

Description

@ChengShi-1

What steps does it take to reproduce the issue?

  • When does this issue occur?
    When you have multiple versions

  • Which page(s) does it occur on?
    Dataset - edit metadata

  • What happens?

Description from @pdurbin
In JSF, when you click "Edit Metadata", the latest metadata is pre-populated, no matter which version you're on. In the SPA, if I click "Edit Metadata" on version 1, the metadata from that version is pre-populated.

In case a screenshot helps, I'm clicking "Edit Metadata" from version 1. As of version 2 "my subtitle" is in the metadata but it only shows in JSF, not the SPA.

  • To whom does it occur (all users, curators, superusers)?
    All users

  • What did you expect to happen?
    Always pre-populated the latest version of metadata
