Here are a list of things I'm working on other than fixing the bugs

1. Support OpenAI API. Update: I got GPT-4 key, so will implement this soon.
2. Improve the model performance on sub-task reasoning. (Completed)
   • The current more command explains the todos provided by PentestGPT. However, it cannot provide further guidance if the information does not help
   • Users cannot use more command more than once due to design issues.
   • Users may want to dig into a specific problem (for instance, sql injection waf bypass) but the current design does not support it.
3. Complete Google search function (partially completed)
4. A local reasoning knowledge graph design. I will share more once I complete the paper.
5. Combine search result into reasoning.
   • Ideally, PentestGPT should be able to learn from online materials.
6. Integrate into langchain, or any other feasible toolkits that may be available in the future.

I understand the urge to go with what is readily available (OpenAI) and particularly the reasoning improvements of chatgpt-4, but I hope you will support other (uncensored) models and consider the use of agents with autonomous request capabilities and/or multi-modal capabilities.

Understood. In fact, I'm working together with my team to explore the potential of customized LLMs on security-related tasks. We tested some small models with fine-tuning, but the result did not turn good. GPT-4 is still overwhelmingly powerful than other existing modules. Still, exploring the capabilities of other models is something I'm interested in.
I'll probably release some papers in June or July, and update in this repo if I have any progress.
