After 11 existing Miis, new ones are overwritten

When having 11 existing Miis within the Mii applet, adding onto it overwrites the newest one.

I can't replicate this issue on my side. Can you provide any more info about the exact circumstances? What file type are you importing? Where did you get the files from? Anything else that might be unique to your setup?

I was exporting Miis from my 3DS as QR code images (.jpg) and importing them into the 'MiiPort\miis' folder within the root of the SD card in my switch.

As for anything unique of my setup, other than having hekate and atmosphere, there's nothing special about my setup.
At least not that I know of.

However, I do have sigpatches installed, but only to create forwarders with custom icons to existing apps and nothing else.

Hmm, the QR imports normally on my device without overwriting anything. What system version are you on? I haven't tested with the latest ones, so maybe that could be related? I did recently publish a new MiiPort version compiled with newest libnx, which might fix things on newer system versions. Let me know if this still happens on the newest version.

Thanks for the info! The last version I tested this out with was 21.2.0 I believe. Unfortunately, I've recently updated my switch firmware to 22.0.0 to which Atmosphere doesn't support yet. So I can't test out the new version until I have the updated version of Atmosphere. But once the update drops, I'll definitely keep you updated.

Should the update come out and I have still not responded, feel free to reply to me. I do tend to forget.

Hello again! Sorry for the long wait. After testing the application once more with Atmosphère 1.11.1 on the firmware version 22.0.0, the problem no longer persists.
I'm have no clue as to what the cause was before, but updating Atmosphere somehow did the trick.

I still can't replicate this. I don't necessarily expect this tool to work with emulators, as it is up to the emulator to implement the parts of the system that this tool interacts with. But I loaded up Ryujinx and importing QR codes or charinfos works fine for me. Any details about what you're doing specifically, like what files you're importing, might help figure out what's happening.

I only did with QR code Miis from the emulated Tomodachi Life 3DS which seems to be importing fine to the system's Miis, still any random mii i add replaces the 1st slot, also yes i was using v0.1.2 during this case

Ah, I think I found the issue. When importing from QR codes MiiPort randomly generates the "CreateId". This depends on the OS to provide a random seed value, but it looks like Ryujinx currently just provides a constant value instead. As a result, every time MiiPort is launched, it generates the same CreateIds in the same order instead of actually random ones. The method used to import the Miis will overwrite any Mii with the same createId.

For importing file types that preserve the CreateId, MiiPort checks first and shows a prompt if importing the Mii would replace an existing Mii, but I didn't think it would be needed here because the chance of a random CreateId being the same as an existing one is normally very very small.

One other place MiiPort uses random values is when generating QR codes for existing Miis. So as a dumb workaround until Ryujinx fixes this, you should be able to repeatedly generate QR codes to advance it down the constant list of CreateIDs :P

I'll have to consider adding the prompt here too, even though this shouldn't normally happen.

Unrelated, I wonder if this has an effect on how some games generate random values when played on Ryujinx too.

At least for Tomodachi Live LTD, its fine, as long as the mii you imported is added to the island, and you save it before adding another (where it overwrites it) then its fine

@huhuhuhuheh unrelated to this but are you able to use controls in MiiPort on Ryujinx other than just the B button?
