Fix: I’ll engineer a comprehensive deployment.yaml infrastructure manifest within the k8s/ directory. The manifest will define a rolling-update deployment targeting the CI-built Docker containers, incorporate appropriate resource limits and liveness/readiness probes for the Rust binary, map environment variables via ConfigMaps/Secrets, and expose the workload internally via a ClusterIP service abstraction layer. Ready to draft the declarative configurations and ship.

Hi, I am Franklin. I have deployed Rust backend services using Docker and Kubernetes, creating production-ready manifests with configuration management, service discovery, and container orchestration best practices. I have implemented similar infrastructure for API services, ensuring deployments are reproducible, scalable, and compatible with CI-generated container images.

To tackle this issue, I would:

• Create k8s/deployment.yaml containing a Kubernetes Deployment for the Rust backend API.
• Configure the deployment to consume the Docker image produced by the existing CI pipeline.
• Define a Service resource to expose the backend internally within the cluster.
• Add ConfigMap integration for non-sensitive configuration and reference Secrets where sensitive environment variables are required.
• Configure container ports, resource requests/limits, and health probes (liveness and readiness) where applicable to improve deployment reliability.
• Ensure the manifests follow Kubernetes best practices, including labels, selectors, rolling update strategy, and restart policies.
• Validate the manifests using Kubernetes validation tools and confirm they are ready for deployment in a standard cluster environment.
