We need a toggle option to make the snek studio window always on top and click through

temporary solution--

nano ~/.config/devilspie2/snek.lua

paste in

     /home/sundeep/.config/devilspie2/snek.lua             
if (get_window_class() == "Godot_Engine" or get_window_cla>
    set_window_above()
    undecorate_window()
end

create a python file to make the window clickthrough--

from Xlib import display
from Xlib.ext import shape

d = display.Display()
w = d.create_resource_object('window', 0x00800006)

w.shape_rectangles(
    shape.SO.Set,
    shape.SK.Input,
    0,      # ordering
    0, 0,   # offsets
    []      # empty region
)

d.sync()

you're window id might be different than 0x00800006. For now i wasn't able to reliably find it with a simple python file

Now open snekstudio
run

devilspie2 &

kill it with ctrl c .

now run the python file you created

To make the window clickable again simply close it by super key and closing it and reopen.
can make it into a bash file for ease.

I'm afraid that this is not really possible to implement in a cross-platform way, and not really the intended use for the application. So this will probably have to remain between you and your window manage.

Making a window be always above other windows is easy, and most any window manager I've used has some form of support for this.

Having a window be "click-through" is extremely odd and not something I've ever heard anyone need before, and as such I doubt there's much need to implement it into SnekStudio, especially as I'm not sure if it's possible to make the application behave that way from within Godot alone.

Yeah so basically, apart from vtubing on youtube, I simulatenously vtube for a discord server as well, So Instead of having to route my audio in separately and also using obs virtual cam, I figured it made more sense to just make the window overlayed and clickthrough. So now I can get a better idea of what the user sees instead of looking through obs everytime I need to check, I move the avatar sometimes as needed. By having it clickthrough, I just saves a ton of space, It gets quickly irritating when you realise you have resize and move the window every 2 minutes to click someting underneath . I kinda solved the issue for now (bare bones), I mean as good as shitty vibe coded script can get you .

To summarise , I did it by changing the input_shape parameter. But yes that would probably differ by window manager as @ExpiredPopsicle mentioned.
