Reading compound dataset with array types

I'm having trouble reading a compound dataset that contains arrays. The dataset looks like this:

   long long id;
   char term[8];
   long long grid[5];
   double fd1[5]

} Data;

HighFive::CompoundType create_compound_Data() {
    return {
        {"ID", HighFive::create_datatype<long long>()},
        {"TERM", HighFive::create_datatype<char[8]>()},
        {"GRID", HighFive::create_datatype<long long[5]>()},
        {"FD1", HighFive::create_datatype<double[5]>()},
    };
}
HIGHFIVE_REGISTER_TYPE(Data, create_compound_Data)

And I'd expect to read it like this:

File file(filename, File::ReadOnly);
auto dataset = file.getDataSet("path/to/dataset");

std::vector<Data> data;
dataset.read(data);

But I unable to register my Data type. I've tried going about this a few ways, but none have worked so far. Things I've tried:

Option 1: C-style arrays

Using code displayed above.

Compiler error:

This makes sense since I don't see any AtomicType template specializations for C arrays anywhere.

I've seen a few related topics, but none of them seem to answer the question. Perhaps I'm not understanding how to use the inspector?

• examples/compounds_types.cpp: no arrays in the compound
• Issue Support variable length data types #369: as far as I can tell this is separate because all of my arrays are fixed length
• Issue Dose create_compound support string or vector? #601: this may be a similar problem, but looks like the poster solved it on their own and didn't come back to update
• Issue reimplement data converters to be more generic and support all data representable with HighFive #307 and PR Automagic serialization #586: it seems like this is the key, but I can't figure out how to hook it up to the CompoundType. (Does the inspector need to be used somehow...?)
