I'm confused if my device is supported or not

Hello,

I have MSI Pulse GL66 11UGKV and I want to have support for msi functionalities (I'm on Arch with hyprland). However, the /sys/class/dmi/id/bios_version shows E1581IMS, which according to the table of supported devices by msi-ec belongs to Katana GF66 11U(E/G) matching the EC version. The EC version for Pulse GL66 11UDK is 1582EMS1.

This confused me and I'm not sure if my laptop supported or not, so is it supported or not?

If next command will return version after you installed module and rebooted - supported

cat /sys/devices/platform/msi-ec/fw_version

If not - load into debug mode and send EC dump into new issue using template
