Keyboard shortcut on thumb wheel up and down

[TeoMorabito]

with logi options+ I've set up scroll up on the thumbwheel to be the left arrow and scroll down to be the right arrow.
This lets me fast forward through a youtube video using the mouse.
Maybe there is an alternate way to do this, but i couldn't find this option using OpenLogi.

is there a way to add keyboard presses/shortcuts i'm not seeing ?

Currently on version 0.8.3 on windows, I can seem to only map custom keyboard presses via editing the config.toml file.

From main "Devices" screen, click on your device you wish to configure > Devices (left side menu) > Config folder
will open your config folder.

You then need to edit the config.toml file using an editor of your choice.
Within the file, there's a bindings section near the bottom;

For my MX Master 3 it looks something like the following:

#...
[devices."{unit:deviceKey}".bindings]
Back = "MouseBack"
Forward = "MouseForward"
ThumbwheelScrollUp = { CustomShortcut = "Right" }
ThumbwheelScrollDown = { CustomShortcut = "Left" }
#...

This inputs arrow keys when i scroll on my thumbwheel after restarting OpenLogi.

It's a bit of work at the moment since there is no way to use the GUI to configure custom shortcuts.

Hope this helps.
